My husband & I love it here. Our apartment is beautiful and roomy; we love the quietness as well. The manangement staff is very professional and extremely friendly. Any questions we had/have were/are addressed promptly. Jim, the maintenance man is a super nice, friendly person. He is very efficient and does a great job in handling any/all service requests. The grounds are kept nice and it is nice knowing you have a parking spot in the parking lot. Definately worth the price. We would highly recommend these apartmens to anyone.

If you are a non-smoker, DO NOT rent here. We were told that we would not smell smoke in our apartment when we moved in, but about three months after we moved in, we started getting a very strong smell of smoke in our apartment (because people who smoke moved in below us). It has been strong enough to wake us up in the middle of the night. It seems like there is absolutely no barrier. To make matters worse, it is very difficult to get ahold of management, and they won’t do anything anyway. If you mind the smell of smoke at all, or management that is hard to get ahold of, DO NOT RENT HERE. I am not exaggerating, we have had a lot of problems and will be moving out as soon as our lease is up.

I recently moved into the apartments on March 1. I was having trouble with the shower drain not draining. I saw the new maintenance man Jim Drum after hours in the hallway and told him of the problem. He told me to go online and write a work order for him. Less than 10 minutes he knocked on my door and fixed the drain that very same night. He was very considerate and I knew it was well after his “work day” had ended at the property. We moved in about 8 months ago, and have been very disappointed with the management, and their lack of help with problems we are having with cigarette smoke in our apartment. We do not smoke, and were promised when we moved in here that we would not smell smoke in our apartment. Since November, we there has been a strong cigarette smell that comes and goes, and we have tried numerous times to get help from management about this, but most of the time they are not available and do not return messages, and when we are able to talk to the leasing manager, there isn’t a whole lot she does to help. Everything else about our apartment is nice, but we have been very frustrated with the way our problems have been ignored by management.

We have had an incredibly difficult time getting help for a problem we have with the smell of cigarette smoke coming up from the apartment below us. The manager here at Perkiomen Place never answers the phone, and does not return phone calls. The only time I have been able to talk to her was when I left a message with a question about renewing our lease, and only then has she returned our call. We are very displeased with the service we have received here. We know a number of people this summer that will be looking for housing in the area, and would not recommend Perkiomen Place to any of them.
